"Kidz NET" is the new name for our Preschool and Children's Ministry at
New Heights Baptist Church.

Our goal is to "make the connection" with all "kidz" in our community so that we can reach girls and boys for Christ.

N = Nurturing - bring them up in the nurture and Admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

E = Educating - Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Psalms 25:4

T = Training - Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
 
  The purpose of our ministry is to help each child:
  1. associate God, Jesus, and the Bible with happy feelings.
  2. make progress in solving problems, sharing, and expressing their self.
  3. know that the Bible is a special book that tells about God and Jesus.
  4. think of church as “my” church- the happy place.
  5. begin thinking of others and adjusting to their interests.
  6. know that God made the world good and beautiful and that “Thank you God” is an appropriate response.

Experienced teachers guide the students in age appropriate activities that help build self-esteem in the child as well as lay important foundations for the Christian life.

Objectives and concepts are taught through the use of art, books and pictures, blocks, home living, music, nature, and puzzles.

Sunday School is a very important part of our ministry. It begins at 9:30 am each Sunday morning with an Extended Teaching Session for preschoolers birth through 3 years old to follow during the adults worship service at 11:00 am. (4 year olds are encouraged to attend worship)

Children's choir begins at 5:00 pm on Sundays with a light snack before worship service with an Extended Teaching Session for birth through 3 years old.

Every third Friday night of each month we offer “Parents Night Out” for preschoolers birth through five years old from 6:00 till 9:00 pm.

During special times of the year we have special events including:

  1. I love Sunday School Event
  2. Eggstravaganza
  3. Preschool and Children's Day of Recognition
  4. Vacation Bible School
  5. Back To School Bash
  6. Leaf Day
  7. Happy Birthday Jesus Party

Young Musicians Camp, GA Camp, and RA Camp are other special events each summer but require attendance and age requirements. These events are planned to promote love and unity among Christian friends, God’s creation, teamwork, and the importance of reaching out to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
